Panic Pilot for iPhone
Privacy Policy
Panic Pilot keeps everything on your iPhone. Your panic log, check-ins, exercise history and settings are stored only on your device. We run no servers, require no account and have no technical ability to see anything you enter.
Effective: October 7, 2026 · Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Who we are and scope
The data controller for the Panic Pilot iOS app and this website is Przemysław Bocer, an independent developer based in Poland ("we"). You can contact us about privacy at support@bytechimera.com.
This policy explains how the Panic Pilot iOS app and this website handle information. Panic Pilot requires no account and operates no server or database that could receive your data. Because everything stays on your device, we cannot access, view or retrieve your log or anything else you create in the app.
2. Data collection (in short: none)
- No personal data collected: no account, no login, no email address, no identifiers.
- No external servers: panic attack entries, check-ins, session records and notes are never uploaded anywhere.
- No analytics, ads or tracking: no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs; no cookies or fingerprinting. Panic Pilot never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is nothing to track.
- No cloud sync by the app: Panic Pilot does not use CloudKit or iCloud sync to transmit your data.
- No network use at all: the app has no network code. Every feature works in airplane mode.
Under Apple's App Store guidelines, data processed only locally on the device and never sent anywhere is not considered "collected." Panic Pilot's App Privacy label therefore reads: "Data Not Collected."
3. What stays on your device
To work, the app keeps the following in its private storage on your iPhone, protected by the device's built-in encryption:
- Panic log: entries you record (time, intensity, symptoms, triggers, what helped, notes).
- Daily check-ins and the trends and insights the app computes from them.
- Exercise history: breathing sessions, exposure sessions and your fear ladder.
- Settings: theme, audio guide, reminder time.
All processing (trends, insights, the SOS sequence, the audio guide) happens on the device. No content is sent to any external AI service, cloud processing system or third-party server.
4. Device permissions
- Notifications — requested only if you turn on the daily reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device; no server is involved. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings.
- Audio playback — the guided voice plays through the speaker or headphones. The app does not record audio and does not request the microphone.
Panic Pilot does not request access to Health data, location, contacts, photos, the camera or the microphone.
5. Health-related information
Entries you log may describe your mental health. They are processed only on your device to show you your own history and patterns. Panic Pilot is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for professional care. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
6. Storage, retention and deletion
All app data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. Uninstalling Panic Pilot removes all associated data from your device; you can also delete individual entries inside the app.
If you have iCloud device backup enabled, your Panic Pilot data may be included in your encrypted device backup like any other app's data. That backup is controlled by you and managed by Apple under Apple's terms; we have no access to it.
7. This website
This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to deliver the pages and secure them against attacks and abuse. Cloudflare acts as our processor for this hosting and may process the data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; those transfers are covered by the standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare's data processing addendum. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The Panic Pilot pages set no cookies of their own and load no analytics or advertising scripts. The display font is loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the font file; see Google's privacy policy. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if its bot protection is active.
8. Your rights (GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws)
Laws such as the GDPR (EU/EEA) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) and comparable U.S. state laws protect you regardless of where your data lives. Because Panic Pilot keeps everything on your device and we hold no copy, control is entirely in your hands:
- Access and portability: your log is on your device and visible in the app's History at any time.
- Erasure: delete individual entries or uninstall the app; each removes the data permanently from the only place it exists.
- No sale or sharing: we do not collect your data, so we never sell, rent or share it with anyone. There is nothing to opt out of.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO). For any rights request or question, write to support@bytechimera.com.
9. Children
Panic Pilot is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country, up to 16 in the EU/EEA). Because the app collects no personal data from any user, it is inherently consistent with COPPA and comparable rules protecting minors: there are no accounts, no social features and no advertising.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated when Panic Pilot's features or legal obligations change. Updates will be published at this same URL, and the "Last updated" date above identifies the current version. Any change that would start collecting data would also be announced inside the app before taking effect.
